2019 John Deere Models
2019 John Deere Models John Deere has announced a number of improvements to the 5m and 5e Series tractors up to 115HP that are suitable for farms, livestock farms, mixed farms and specialist manufacturers. The company has also expanded its 5e range to include the new 49HP 5050e, the smallest John Deere agricultural tractor. Both models will be on display at the John Deere stand (G19) in Lamp 18.
The John Deere 5m Series is the most popular tractor series in Europe. Following the success of previous models, the new 2018 line has been designed to further improve operator comfort and overall efficiency while remaining versatile and user-friendly.
The new 5090M replaces the 5085M in this four-model series, which also includes the 5075M, 5100M and 5115M models. All are equipped with John Deere Powertech Stage IIIB PWX engines – a 2.9-litre three-cylinder unit on the 5075M and a 4.5-litre four-cylinder unit on the three largest models.
To meet current emission standards, they use the same Common Rail technology as the largest John Deere tractors, combined with John Deere’s well-established diesel engine design. All four models come with 16/16 PowrReverser or 32/16 PowrReverser gearboxes, plus 94 litres/minute Open Center hydraulics and three power take-off options.
The 5m series offers a choice of open station, standard or superior cab with solar ceiling, as well as a narrow cab option. The cockpit has been updated to include a suspended air driver’s seat, more storage chambers, improved interior finishing, a new digital display and a redesigned gear lever with a new declutching function.
These restyled tractors are also available with larger 540/65R38 rear tires, although the turning radius remains low in only 4m. The new lower bonnet design improves forward visibility, particularly for the front loader and front-mount work.
In addition, the load capacity of the rear hitch has increased to 4.32 tonnes and the load capacity to 7.5 tonnes. The new 5m Series can be equipped with John Deere’s latest 543R and 603R front loaders with the “Ready to Load” option, which allows the required components to be fitted at the factory.
Introduced alongside this new range and mainly aimed at cattle ranching and small arable farms, the John Deere three-cylinder 5e series Tractors recently designed for 2018 also feature greater operator comfort and a Powertech and fuel Efficient (Powertech M in the new 5050e).

The maximum rated power for the 5050e, 5058E, 5067E and 5075E models is 49, 60.3, 68.5 and 74.7 hp respectively. The 2.9-litre electronically controlled engine meets Stage IIIB emissions requirements (Stage IIIA 5050e) with a well-established John Deere diesel engine design.
Two transmission options are available: the basic 12/12 PowrReverser and the new 24/12 PowrReverser unit with a maximum speed of 40 km/h. The standard 540RPM power take-off runs at a nominal engine speed of 2100RPM, while the economical 540E power take-off runs at 1600 RPM.
The CAB Comfort has increased significantly with the option of a new air suspension seat and a new control console on the right, which combined with the standard EQRL (electric quick up and down) abutment system simplify the implementation. The new digital dashboard provides better control of the tractor’s main functions, while other functions include electro-hydraulic PTOs and manual accelerator activation.
