After the PowerPoint presentation, we made our way to a test track to see how the new 2018 John Deere Gator Xuvs compared to the previous generation 825i and 855d Gators, which were also available. The test track consisted of a hectare or so, and included a close 180-degree rotation at the paddock, which had to be taken wide (a) to avoid reversing and repositioning, a distance between rocky piles near Top speed (b) were allowed, and a second shorter distance (c) where Heav y-braking came into play. The rest of the track had many deep rods, usually not square to travel, heaps of rocks, food, Jogs and hairpin bends.
